Washington DC, October 23rd and 30th There are two great things about being a DC faggot. First: October 23rd Raid at the Washington DC Idle Org. Bring your Halloween spirit or zombie infection. Whichever works. Time is still being discussed. And second: Stewart vs. Colbert at the DC mall! October 30th! Rally to Restore Sanity vs. March to Keep Fear Alive And yes, DC faggots and all Anons nearby area are invited to both! Update: Planning ideas: 23rd: Proposed Time: 5pm till evening. Zombies Place: Idle Org on P Street. 30th Proposed meetup time for Anon faggotry: 10am at the latest? Rally starts at 12pm. So there is a definite that people will be showing up early to get good places for it. Meet at: Across from the Smithsonian Metro Station (on the Orange and Blue line) http://www.wmata.com/rail/maps/map.cfm Someone should probably have a guy fawkes mask so we know whom to look for. Then go to respective march/rally (whether ur a Colbert or Stewart fag). Meet up at the end of the rally at the metro for after march/rally shennanigans? How does this sound?
Re: Washington DC, October 23rd and 30th Reasons #3 & 4 Why I Am Excited to Be in DC the Rest of the Year: - Anon Raids (new because I've never been close enough to one) - Colbert's March to Keep Fear Alive & Stewart's Rally to Restore Sanity I will definitely show for October 23rd, just keep us posted on time and place. Also, while waiting for my profile to become active, I wanted to post here suggesting that Anon has a larger, organized presence at the Colbert/Stewart rallies. And just recently, Colbert invited everyone to wear masks/costumes to the march... Honestly, it's as if he's explicitly inviting Anonymous. Possible other thread for larger base? Keep up the win, Anon!
Re: Washington DC, October 23rd and 30th I will be at the Stewart/Colbert rally and in DC for the whole weekend. Can't imagine wearing my mask for the entire rally, let alone how I would pack it without it being smushed, but I'm game to try. Oh yeah, and that whole explaining the GF/anon thing to my friends might really cut into my drinking time. Any anon gatherings at the DC org planned for that weekend?
Re: Washington DC, October 23rd and 30th Lest we forget......... the opening of the new dc org was only last year. lets give them a fond memory. bring balloons.
Re: Washington DC, October 23rd and 30th It just occurred to me that back when we did that megaraid during their opening we could have used those to raise a very large sign over their fern-tech. I hate when these ideas come when its far far too late.
Re: Washington DC, October 23rd and 30th Here's the clip where Colbert tells everyone to wear costumes to the March to Keep Fear Alive... - Terror a New One - The Colbert Report - 9/28/10 - Video Clip | Comedy Central Might be worth it, having Anon show Colbert some love.
Re: Washington DC, October 23rd and 30th We certainly owe it to him sense our defeat in the Xenu satellite naming campaign.
Re: Washington DC, October 23rd and 30th I'm liking both these dates muchly! Flight times only 7-8 hours from London UK. My friends have an overwhelming desire to see Sue and Sylvia's - W I D E - tech in action - I'm not so sure I want to see $cilon bat-wing/hip flab up close and personal.
Re: Washington DC, October 23rd and 30th I'll be at the rally as well. Taking the entire family on the 30th as well as 1 more local anon guy. heh
Re: Washington DC, October 23rd and 30th So the Westboro Baptist Church was here in DC today making their case to the Supreme Court and is protesting funerals at Arlington National Cemetery over the next couple of days. I meant to stroll by the Supreme Court building to see what's up, but never got around to it. Was there an Anonymous presence there at all, and will there be for their Arlington demonstrations? If so, sign idea... Am I a REALLY a Christian? *incorporate arrow to WBC person* Check What I Have and See! Fruits of the Spirit: _ Love _ Joy _ Peace _ Patience _ Kindness _ Goodness _ Faithfulness _ Gentleness _ Self-Control Did I Pass?... Also waiting in anticipation for details on the 23rd and 30th (first time active Anon and all). Spread the word and keep postin'!
Re: Washington DC, October 23rd and 30th Hey, is it cool with all y'all DC anons if a cool Chicago dude drops by for a bit on the 30th?
Re: Washington DC, October 23rd and 30th Planning ideas: 23rd: Proposed Time: 5pm till evening. Zombies 30th Proposed meetup time for Anon faggotry: 10am at the latest? Rally starts at 12pm. Re: Washington DC, October 23rd and 30th The Idle Org is near Dupont Circle, just 4 stops from the Smithsonian station. http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Washington_DC_metro_map.png
Re: Washington DC, October 23rd and 30th Great Middle-Eastern restaurant a block west on P street. Upper level some out door seating. Food awesome and reasonable. Service superb, staff warm and friendly.
Re: Washington DC, October 23rd and 30th Umm, don't you have to, like, choose one or the other? Dumb idea: yellowshirts & pedobear vs the rest maybe?
Re: Washington DC, October 23rd and 30th I don't think people will have to choose between them. I think they may be facing off and happening at the same time and place in order to let everyone experience everything. But if we do have to choose between the two, Colbert is the guy.
Re: Washington DC, October 23rd and 30th And for the 23rd, the site is the Founding Church, right? Or is it elsewhere? And is there a different meeting point?
Re: Washington DC, October 23rd and 30th Well technically your right. DC Scifags are so pants-on-head retarded they call their idle org the new "Founding Church." (facepalm). Its the idle org we protest in front of now.
Re: Washington DC, October 23rd and 30th Someone should make a map for this Chicago anon. Because I don't know a damn'd thing 'bout DC
Re: Washington DC, October 23rd and 30th Okay assuming your boarding the metro to get to the org: Start by getting to know DC metro system (its strongly recommended you choose a hotel that is right next to the metro or has a shuttle that goes to the metro). Find your metro station on this map: http://www.wmata.com/rail/maps/map.cfm Find where Dupont Circle Metro Station is. You might have to transfer from one colored line to the Red Line to get to Dupont Circle Metro station. Exit Dupont Circle Metrostation at Connecticut Ave. & 19th St. NW (NOT AT Q STREET) Then walk out and go around the circle until you find P Street. Walk down P street and eventually the Idle Org will be on the corner of P and 16th street, to your right. Does this help?
Re: Washington DC, October 23rd and 30th ^^^^^ That's assuming you are coming on the 23rd. If you are coming on the 30th for Colbert/Stewart, go to the Mall (the big long lawn between the Lincoln Memorial and the Capitol Building), and find the crowd of over 9,000 people.
Re: Washington DC, October 23rd and 30th From the latest Ability magazine of DC Org Are there really that many staff at DC?
Re: Washington DC, October 23rd and 30th No. Its quite nearly empty. Those "staff" were what they brought down from other orgs during their grand opening to make it look like they're highly active and growing.
Re: Washington DC, October 23rd and 30th I think this picture was taken some time before the grand opening. Most of the people in the picture are on staff but there are several that are actually public - Ray Rochefort, Brett Wallace, and others. Then there are people who I have never ever seen before and were either just shooped in or were visiting Scientologists. I don't recognize them as Golden Era slaves from the grand opening though. The golden slaves DO appear in their "look how full our courseroom is!" picture that's in this same magazine. And then of course you have your usual forehead here, half a head there, can't see their face so can't tell if they're even real there. But a careful count still doesn't add up to 164 staff like they claim. Nothin' like livin' the lie! Mmm mmm good.
Re: Washington DC, October 23rd and 30th I will be there with my bigass camera.... unless I get lazy and just bring the handycam, lol...
Re: Washington DC, October 23rd and 30th There is talk on the DC forums to get to the even on the 30th even earlier. Like around 7am.
Re: Washington DC, October 23rd and 30th I just got word from a socalanon that retired 2 years ago that he and a friend will come to the 23rd raid.
Re: Washington DC, October 23rd and 30th I am definitely going to be at the 30th pretty early in the morning because the group of people (non-Anons) I know are heading in. I really don't know the story on the Rally&March, or really what there is to gain from showing up so early... is it worth it?
Re: Washington DC, October 23rd and 30th For the 23rd: I will bring the troll cannon fully charged, but need an ipod with raid musicz if anyone has one lined up. Something dancey dancey. Will bring posters, but if anyone wants to bring blanks with markers, that would be greatly appreciated. I have a billion pieces of white chalk. For the 30th: Will be there super early. Look for the teaparty. http://www.anonymousdc.com/forums/ <---for out of towners if you need da hookup.
