A Peek Behind the Curtain of Scientology - Part 1

Published by Chris Shelton on July 30, 2015

Scientology is a destructive cult, but how do its members fall for it and why? This is the first part of a critical analysis of the most key policy in all of Scientology, titled Keeping Scientology Working, and how this policy creates a cult mindset.

A Peek Behind the Curtain of Scientology - Part 2

Published by Chris Shelton on August 6, 2015

In this second half of an analysis of Scientology's most core policy, called Keeping Scientology Working, we look at what it is about Scientology that drives its members into such a fanatical frame of mind that they would forsake their jobs, families and entire life in order to follow L. Ron Hubbard's words.

Is Knowledge Power? How We All Get Fooled

Published by Chris Shelton on August 20, 2015

They say that knowledge is power, but I have found that is not always a universal truth, not all by itself, and in this video I explain why that is, what this has to do with destructive cults and life in general.

The Scientology Experience, Part 3: Out of the Frying Pan

Published by Chris Shelton on September 17, 2015

In order to provide more points of view and experience on my channel, I'm interviewing people involved in Scientology and other destructive cults and getting their stories.

In this episode, we talk about her time at the LRH Life Exhibition and what it was like to promote the nonsense story the Church tells about Hubbard's life, who actually bothers to come see this exhibit and where all those awards Hubbard gets actually come from. We then get into how she was transferred to work in Scientology's monolithic management bureaucracy, the insanity of life as a local org staff member and the unexpected twists and turns her life took as a result.

In this episode, we talk about how Robyn started working for the Office of Special Affairs and what that means at a local Scientology church level, which is different from OSA at the Sea Org level. Robyn was involved in helping out on court cases and other dirty work OSA needed done.

This is the final episode in our series of interviews covering Robyn's entire Scientology experience from a teenager until she was eventually divorced twice, a single mother out of the Sea Org and kicked to the curb by Scientology for trying to think and live on her own terms.
