Why Iran Needs A Nuclear Bomb | Before It's News ***Admin note: This looks like pro-regime propaganda. Not deleted in respect of free speech, even though it is misinformation Peace jadt65***
OK, I'll Bite So, explain where I have lied in this artile. Did I lie about the Shah? Did I lie about the Iran-Iraq War? Did I lie about Khomeini's quote? Are you saying I lied about Iran being in compliance with the IAEA? Are you saying I lied about Operation TP Ajax? Are you saying I lied about Saddm getting chemical weapons from the U.S.? Are you saying the Shah did not kill Iranians and use mass murder to oppress Iranians? are you saying the U.S. did not fund the MEK? Are you saying the U.S. did not blast the Iranian jetliner out of the sky? Are you saying Israel does not have a stranglehold on the U.S. media and political process? If you deny these things you deny reality. Everything I have written takes about 10 seconds to verify. So, tell me where I lied. My bet is this will be the last I hear from you or my post will be deleted.
Did I say the you lied? NO. Do I think you put a spin on events to justify the need for Iran to have nuclear weapons? YES. 1. From your article Granted the phrase "wiped from the map" is not present, but the sentiment of eliminating the Zionists (Jewish people) from Jerusalem appears to be very similiar. Both statements allude to "ethnic cleansing" of Jerusalem, in my opinion, which is morally wrong and against the teachings of all the teachings in the Abrahamic traditions. If I am wrong about this, please explain to me how "the regime occupying Jerusalem will vanish from the page of time." 2. The statements of Pat Buchanan are in no way reflective of the current position of the United States. As you noted, he was a presidential candidate who did not succeed in getting through the primary elections of his own party. His failure to get through the primary process of his party is a reflection of the rejection of his policies by US citizens. To portray his statements as indicative of any US position is disingenuous at best. 3. As far as Iran's complaince with IAEA, it appears Iran complied with the "letter of the law," but not the spirit of the law. It is of concern that Iran rejected Turkey's offer to process the nuclear fuel to ensure it use is for peaceful purposes as opposed to uranium enriched to a weapons grade level. As far as the US threatening to bomb Iran, this is not supported by the current adminstration to the best of my knowledge and it is highly unlikely unprovoked military action against would be supported by US citizens. 4. I am in agreement there is evidence which suggests the former administration of the US government committed acts which are in violation of the Geneva convention. I fully support bringing those who authorized these acts to trial and justice. At the same time, one nation violating international law does not provide justification for other countries to break the law. Based on the information I have read about Operation AJAX, I agree the US (with the British) had no business involving itself in the internal affairs of Iran and many people suffered under the rule of the Shah. At the same time, the current regime in Iran continues the type of persecution of political opposition committed by SAVAK to this day, as evidenced by the imprisonment of prisoners of conscience, execution and other violations of basic human and civil rights. I agree the US was wrong to provide Saddam Hussien with chemical weapons and I vigorously protested against the US invasion of Iraq. 5. I do not support any country, whether it is the US, Iran, North Korea, Israel or anywhere else, having weapons of mass destruction for any purpose. I do support President Obama's goal of global elimination nuclear weapons as I think the concept of nuclear deterrance is flawed; one mistake, one misinterpretation can lead to the annihilation of thousands, if not millions of people. The resources of a country can be best utilized to promote the education of its people; provide and maintain infrastructure for transportation, commerce, agriculture, communication and energy; fund research in science and technolgy; and access to medical care. 6. I condemn the military actions of the Israeli government against the people of Palestine as I condemn the actions of suicide bombers against Isreali citizens. I believe the people of the Middle East have the intellectual prowress and sophistication to negotiate a win-win settlement to disagreements as opposed to the lose-lose pattern of aggression that exists today. 7. The current US adminstration does not seem to have any issue confronting the Israeli government when the Israeli government commits actions contrary to the two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestination conflict as evidenced by President Obama's condemnation of the expansion of Israeli settlements. My question to you is how the Iranian regime can justify the imprisonment, torture, rape and execution of its own citizens? Explain to me the rationale for the Iranian regime damaging or eliminating the lives of the best and brightest youth of their country. Explain to me the reason the poverty of so many people in a resource rich country such as Iran. Peace jadt65 Child Advocate Human Rights Activist Peace Activist
Did he say anything about the people or land? No. He merely mentioned regime change. Did the U.S. wipe Germany or its people off the map during WWII? Yet, the Nazi regime vanished from the pages of time. Did the U.S. have to go to war with the USSR to have its government vanish from the pages of time? By the way, all government torture, murder, and jail their people. The more unstable the government, the more it feels threatened and the more it is threatened the more violent it becomes. This is true of all governments. Look at the U.S. after 9/11. As far as Buchanan's failure, it has more to do with the a Zionist-controlled media than it has to do with Buchanan's positions. The media never mentions the truth about anything of imporatance and refuses to allow the truth to be know.
In response Sometimes pictures speak louder than words .... Berlin After WWII As far as the USSR, the Communist Party acted as their own agents of destruction due to the mismanagement of the economy and their oppression of their people This is a gross generalization with no basis in fact; thus a strawman argument. This statement is akin to "Mom, everyone else is doing it, why can't I?" Are you admitting the Iranian regime is unstable? Another strawman. Thanks to ProPublica, Wikileaks and the internet, the truth is available to all who seek it. Thank you Nite Owl for your comment. Peace to all jadt65
amarika has beent thinking that if iran gets a nuclear bomb then it will spell on destruction in world. But i dont understand one thing , amerika too have mukes but nobody says anything against them . Iran needs nukes to defend itself .
Are you serious? Iran needs nukes to defend itself? Against who? And: Well, seems that Iran will need to wait some more years until it can *have* nukes since all it's uranium centrifuges recently have malfunctioned and self destructed due to a targeted virus incident. Not to mention that for a while now the mortality rate amongst Iran's nuclear specialists has been pretty high... I'm not saying that I support the "strategic killing" of scientists, but it's quite obvious that some people out there do and right now are employing tactics that seem to be part of a James Bond plot with success...
Ahmadenijad wants to nuke Israel, he keeps dreaming about it because the voices in his head are telling hin that Jews are bad. I have no idea why the Ayatollahs want nuclear weapons.
I thought I was the only one who knew what the voices are telling him. I'm going to do a better job of keeping why the Ayatollas want nuclear weapons a secret.
Either everyone has them or no one has them. In the case of your specific question, against Israel, who has nukes and no compunctions about using them, even if takes them along with the enemy . The only deterrent to nukes is more nukes. Sure, it's both MAD and mad. Welcome to the Atomic Age.
Of course every regime wants a nuke. Its like being part of an international club. You can't get respect or acknowledgement by the international community until they know for sure you can lay waste to an entire city in the blink of an eye.
Mind your own failed political system. They can't reach Canuckia with a nuke anyway, so why do you care?
last semester, i and several other Hofstra students ( as well as several other universities) were actually invited to a conference Ahmedinejad was holding in NYC while he was in town for the UN meeting. we got to hear him talk and ask him questions and when questioned about nuclear armaments and enriching facilities within his country, he stated that it would be against his religious principals and moral beliefs for Iran to create nuclear weapons and that the enriching facilities were for "medical purposes only".
it was obvious he was just repeating a pre-made line and wasn't telling the truth, but it was interesting all the same.
but he did use the term, "wipe Israel from history" both at the conference and in one of the "gifts" he gave to each person who attended, which consisted of an ornately painted metal plate in a leather box and an officiated book outlining his foreign policies.
Can you post a picture of this ornate plate in box? Also, it would be interesting to get a TL;DR (one paragraph condensed version) of his foreign policies.
