WIN/ Time magazine segment on CoS coming very soon! I am thrilled to be a bearer of good news. Great news. :} About a week ago, I managed to type up a 2-page tirade detailing everything I have ever known about the Church of Scientology, Anonymous, protests, and future plans. I then e-mailed the dissertation with its sources to my favorite writer of Time, the most popular and now globalized magazine in the U.S.. The writer will remain anonymous, for I do not want his/her inbox cluttered with a barrage of inquiring e-mails. No pun intended. Well, I just got a reply from the writer, who was ecstatic about the idea. He/she said that he/she had actually witnessed and walked through the February 10th Hollywood raid, and had "stolen their sweet letterheads". The writer also said that he/she "was thinking about it and got caught up with other stuff." I, for one, am very thrilled about this. The writer is a regular columnist for Time and various newspapers too. Very sassy and smart, painfully comical and sarcastic. I must say that the article, once published, would top the "most e-mailed topics" scoreboard. The writer would definitely love that too. It is my humble suggestion that all Anon out there do the same with other renowned writers.

Time did a cover full-blown story on the evils of CoS back in '91. Yet, I have to admit it was a whole different world back then. The writer himself/herself seems to be very adamant about it being published though. Plus, it's not necessarily defamatory, if that's what you're getting at. 2/10 raid -> Media attention -> writer writes the segment with a brief historical overview

The lawsuits against Time were what scared everyone else shitless of criticizing them in the first place. Maybe if Time writes ANOTHER article, others will follow suit. I hope this goes somewhere. Please update as you hear more about it.

On a side note, when you *hear* word that a journalist might be doing a story on scientology KEEP YOUR TRAP SHUT. Scientology will focus their strained resources on putting heat on the publication. We would all be better off if the article just came out & we were pleasantly surprised.

I'm beginning to have regrets about divulging info about the communication between the writer and me. There are obviously Scilons lurking in these forums, and they might inhibit the article process even before it begins.

Either the world unites together to stand up against CoS or we fight alone and together. That would definitely be a punch in the face for the Church. I'd buy a whole stack of the magazine and hand them out to people in the streets. :}

I see in that list, Ronald Reagan was chosen twice in four years, Nixon made two consecutive years, Bill Clinton in 92 and 98, and FDR was picked three times. Of course, Anon has no chance in hell of being person of the year either way.

We're doing public raids around once per month I'm presuming, and it is necessarily theorized that the projected number will increase exponentially. By the end of the year, the number will be so large that the matter will not go undiscussed. So it is a reasonable bet that there is some possibility in AnoneMoose's statement. I'm still awaiting the writer's reply. You'd think that his/her kind would be checking e-mails every minute. :}

So I naturally started to really scrutinize some of the news reports on Anonymous/Church of Scientology, and I am totally dumbfounded by the one-sided stance most of them hold. They are very ill-informed in calling us "internet hackers" (there's probably not more than a few dozen of people here who even know how to hack), and are very biased in not disseminating our true causes on air, and rather criticizing us for "not doing things positive for the community" instead. It is thus necessary for us to educate the public ourselves, and shed light on the dark perception that the media has clothed us in. If enough attention from the regular people is brought about, the news media will have no choice but to divulge our intention in its fullest form. But as of right now, I am extremely pissed.

Things like this have been theorised, but to my knowledge never happened. Its the emergence of a theorised concept in social theory into the physical world. In social theory at the very least, this will be a case study for future generations.

If Time only covers what it could plausibly say is "just news, just facts" than the CoS won't be able to go after them any more than any other news blog dealing with celebrity stuff. If they do the story about Anonymous, and just happen to do a REEALLY nice sidebar about our issues with the "Church" and just post a couple of documents that are public domain, such as court cases, etc., as well as, um, perhaps some links to videos, some websites... oh yeah, I'll take that, even if every sentence is padded with "allegedly". haha. I may have to kick back & have a beer. I'm a subscriber so that mag will come right to my happy little mailbox.
