When they were getting rid of any Squirrel books: View attachment Non-LRH-books-1.jpg View attachment Non-LRH-books-2.jpg
Well, now! That's *very* interesting. Looks to me like most of those authors had been SP declared as a result of the Mission Holder's debacle. Thank you for posting that, Martin. Michael A. Hobson Independent Scientologist
^ How could anyone be declared, L Ron Hubbard was a pedophile and an illiterate moron who was nothing but a con man. Michael how stupid do you really want to look right now it borders on pity for people like you.
You are mostly incorrect. Ruth Minshull and Woody Wooderson were not Mission Holders, just field scientologists who wrote books that received distribution through scientology missions. Hubbard authorised their books. Peter Gillham, another field scilon from Australia also had Hubbard's authorisation. Omar Garrison was a WOG and had a falling out with Hubbard - his research revealed that Hubbard had falsified a great deal of his own biographical information. Jack Horner and Reg Sharpe had been branded "SPs" many years earlier by L. Ron.
I am pretty sure Ruth Minshull was a Mission Holder in Ann Arbor, Michigan. But whatever even if she was not a franchise holder she was a real true believer in Scientology and for all I know may still cling to all that Hubbard drivel. I used to push Ruth Minshull's books because I knew they were easier to read than anything Hubbard ever wrote and that seemed to be the tacit opinion in our little org as well. Maybe ol' L. Ron was jealous. LOL! Peter Gillham's books were also easier to read than Hubbard's. One of his books, was so well put together it was like getting a Scientology course without having to take a course at the org. Again, maybe Hubbard was jealous. Poor Peter, he was just a good little Scientologist who was trying to help out the cause by explaining Scientology to the public better than Hubbard could ever do. It was around that time that I left the cult anyway. Things were just getting just too suspect and I really started to notice all the red flags that Hubbard and his boys were leaving about. This was just one of them.
Ruth Minshull never was a mission holder. She was a scio book writer and real estate broker in Ann Arbor, Michigan USA
It's interesting that recently - as several books very critical of Hubbard are being released - Marty Rathbun and Mike Rinder, in tandem, have both admitted what some of us have known for man years, that it was Hubbard and not Miscavige who ordered that all Ruth Minshull books be removed. It's strange watching Rathbun and Rinder, simultaneously, decide to tell tell the truth about this one particular piece of Scientology history, as though they've made a strategic decision - after a meeting - to spill a bean or three about Hubbard and Scientology, whereas previously they were both silent, even when the subject was brought up and discussed in the presence. IMO, these two will tell the truth only to the extent that they feel it necessary to forward whatever bizarre mission they think they're on to save Scientology.
Hey, Independent Scientologist number 99, it was 1) Hubbard's order that had the books removed. Incidentally, it was also 2) Hubbard's order that the Mission Holders were attacked and their Missions looted. It's OK for you to know about know about #1 as Marty and Mike admitted it just the other day - years late. Maybe someday they'll admit #2 and, then, it will be OK for you to know about that also.
tl;dr but here is the real story behind the issue in the above OP and what lead to it being written. I was on the Watchdog Committee at that time. An overall summation of what led to it was in a posting I did on alt.religion.scientology back in Jan 2007 when I posted as "SME": http://groups.google.com/group/alt.religion.scientology/browse_thread/thread/1f7003944f2653eb/48491b30d0865cc3?hl=en&q= I elaborate on a bit of that in this much more recent post on ESMB where I post as "justme" in April 2012: http://www.forum.exscn.net/showthre...Hallucinations&p=677152&viewfull=1#post677152
That was an eye-opener. Hubbard was a nut. I am surprised he didn't order the Sea Org to fire on some island in Mexico...or something.
They still seem to be a bit dodgy about a few books, which they probably don't sell directly in the orgs. Code: http://www.effectivebusinesstools.com/ The Small Business Success Manual by Stan Dubin "Based in Part On The Works Of L. Ron Hubbard".
alas, Hobson and Marty and company are just a bunch of opportunistic assholes. Maybe Marty’s mother electroshock really did affect him
You know, I know I probably won't gain any friends by saying this, by I was reading ESMB the other day and that woman Karen something, is a nut case lol. She seems to just spew shit non stop, random shit.
Talking about Karen de la Carriere, I wonder if she still in love with Marty or Hubbard. Cannot be with both as lately Marty seems to be distancing himself from the old guru. Srs question as I am actually curious.
I wonder how the relationship between Marty Rathbun and Karen de la Carrier is going to end up. She seems to be all pro Lawrence Wright yet Marty is pretty pissed at him for dissing Hubbard. Will Marty continue to befriend Karen due to her influences? Stay tuned.
Just a minor correction. Ruth Minshull's books for years were available in any org's book store, not just missions.
